Inviting Your Team
Overview
The Share screen lets you invite teammates to your OpenClinica EDC study and assign them the appropriate level of access.
Accessing the Share screen
From the My Studies screen:
- Locate your study card.
- Click Share at the bottom of the card.
- Select Test (for practice) or Production (your live study) for the environment you want to share.
💡 Tip: You can also open the Share screen from other areas of the system like Study Designer or Settings if you're already working there.

How to invite a teammate
- On the Share screen, find the People section. This is where you manage everyone who has access to your study.
- Click Invite on the right side of the screen.
- Start typing the teammate’s username in the user field. If your teammate already has an OpenClinica EDC account, select them from the list. They'll get a new email invitation, and you can skip to step 5. Otherwise, select Invite a new user to continue.
- On the Add User screen, enter the required fields and click Create User.
Note: Each username and email address in the system must be unique.
- Select a role for your teammate. This determines what they can see and do in your study. If the selected role is site-specific, you'll also select the site for your teammate. To assign access to more than one site, click the Site field again and select additional sites.
- Click Invite.
Your teammate receives an email invitation. You'll see them listed right away in the People table so you always know who has access to your study.
